Lara Rose

Principal, Landscape Architect

As a Principal and landscape architect at Walker Macy, Lara leads the design of public facing projects, and leads the Seattle office. Her expertise includes downtown parks, waterfronts and gardens; urban design and campus projects; and sites that support culture and education. Lara’s award-winning projects foster exploration and reflection and are grounded in strong ideas, local context, and finished craft. She is passionate about the role of plants in design and enjoys the challenge of bringing beauty and sustainability to complex urban and natural settings.

Lara collaborates closely with client groups to create projects that take on special meaning for their cities and communities. She is actively engaged in Seattleā€™s design community and has sat on professional and academic advisory committees and award juries. Her projects have been featured in professional magazines and recognized with national and local awards. She holds a BA in Art from Yale and an MLA from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
