Calder is an Associate with nine years of experience as a designer and project manager. His work is focused on urban public realm projects, with close attention to social and personal uses of landscapes. “My objective is to dignify people’s experience outside,” Calder says. He brings practical experience working with city departments, stakeholders, and communities on projects ranging from streetscape master plans to small plazas and furniture designs.
Calder cites undesigned places—both natural and vernacular landscapes—and fine arts as inspiration for his design work. Outside of work, he is a fly fisher and family man.
Calder graduated from Wesleyan University and currently holds a MA in Landscape Architecture from University of California.
