Jerry Willey Plaza

The Platform District is a mixed-use, transit-oriented development that supports the ongoing transformation of Hillsboro’s Orenco neighborhood, an area where Walker Macy has been working since the 1990s. The centerpiece of the development is Jerry Willey Plaza, which connects the east, central, and west podiums to the light rail station. The urban plaza and festival street are programmed year-round for casual uses and for gatherings and events such as farmer’s markets and cultural celebrations. Preserved mature trees give the place a verdant, long-established feel.
