Horton Plaza Park

Horton Plaza Park transforms a vacant commercial site and a run-down historic park into a vibrant new civic center for downtown San Diego. Its design evokes the natural, cultural, and architectural histories of San Diego in an active, contemporary setting. The plaza is programmed to host more than 200 public events per year, managed through a public-private partnership. This iconic plaza has become a hub of city social life, offering activities that complement San Diego’s assortment of more tourist-focused destinations.
