Bellevue Airfield Park

This concept plan for a 30-acre park in Bellevue, Washington transforms a former landfill into a new park that will provide diverse a hub for community recreation. In the ‘plateau’ area, playgrounds, ballfields, and picnic areas will be connected by a network of paths. Trails traverse the site’s topography into a basin area, where play areas, picnic areas, and other amenities will be nestled amidst renaturalized landscapes and stormwater ponds. Walker Macy has worked long-term to guide iterations of conceptual design culminating in the newest version envisions a significant new aquatic center on the southern portion of the site.
