Xiaoyang’s experience and background in urban planning, Chinese gardens, and landscape architecture make her “…excited most about the diversity of landscape architecture in different cultures and regions, and how it intersects with multiple disciplines and in various scales.” Originally from Zhangye, in Northwestern China, Xiaoyang calls Portland home and spends her weekends hiking, drawing, and working on handcrafts.
