Stefano Ascari grew up in Italy where he first learned about the value of public spaces and designed landscapes. While pursuing his Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Minnesota, he studied the impact of urban environments on public health. His final thesis examined the potential for retrofitting transit infrastructure and public spaces to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of underserved communities. At Walker Macy, Stefano integrates his technical abilities with 3d modeling, digital production, and illustration to advance concept development and site design and to help spearhead the firm’s BIM capabilities.
