UW Bothell Residential Village earns Oregon ASLA Green Ribbon Award

The Residential Village at University of Washington Bothell earned an Oregon ASLA Green Ribbon Award for its climate-forward design strategies on an ecologically sensitive site. Located on a steep hillside overlooking a restored wetland, the design nestles student housing and open spaces into a new resilient landscape. The landscape offers a rich mix of canopy, understory, and ground-level plantings, contributing to a net gain in biodiversity and forming a continuous ecological corridor between the uplands and North Creek. Native planting, forest edge restoration, and preservation of mature trees support habitat connectivity for birds, amphibians, and pollinators.
