Oregon Coast Aquarium

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is a major recreation, education, and interpretive center focused on the diverse aquatic environments of the Oregon coastal zone. The aquarium accommodates thousands of visitors a day, has inspired many generations to support the health of the state’s marine habitats, and has remained an enduring Oregon landmark. Walker Macy was a core member of the original design team, and the firm has been re-engaged in recent years to update the design of the building areas, entry, and educational landscapes. As part of the original design team, we transformed this former sawmill site into the Oregon Coast Aquarium campus – establishing the original theme of following a drop of water from forest to ocean, throughout the Oregon Coastal Environment.
