Drawing inspiration from the historic Manor House, a centerpiece of the campus, this seminal project redefined Lewis & Clark’s campus as a walkable environment with significant open spaces and elegant, well-crafted design. Parking and vehicular uses were relocated to campus edges and replaced with a stately glade and sweeping footpaths. The project’s design palette has since been echoed throughout campus, emphasizing the college’s heritage and reinforcing its sense of place.
