Julia brings a passion for community-driven design and ecological placemaking to her role as a landscape designer at Walker Macy. Her path to landscape architecture was shaped by a formative year with AmeriCorps, where she helped build a community garden in rural West Virginia—an experience that sparked her commitment to creating public spaces that connect people to nature and each other. With over eight years of professional experience, Julia has worked on a wide range of projects across the West Coast, from parks and plazas to trails and mixed-use developments. She is drawn to projects that blur the line between urban and natural environments, incorporating native plantings and regionally inspired materials to reflect a site’s unique character. An artist and avid hiker, Julia brings creativity, curiosity, and a deep respect for place to every phase of the design process.
