Walker Macy provided site planning and design for this three-building academic complex at the UCSC campus, in the heart of a redwood forest. The site plan carefully minimized impacts to existing redwood trees and provided informal gathering spaces and maximum accessibility. Site features include circulation improvements and benches made from salvaged on-site redwoods for informal seating in the plaza and outdoor amphitheater.
