Associate | Landscape Architect
Kate brings more than 13 years of landscape architecture, site planning, and urban design experience to Walker Macy. Her project experience includes the design of public plazas, healthcare and healing garden design, large scale mixed-use developments, campus and master planning as well as landscapes for U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.
Born and raised in the Colorado Rockies, Kate’s connection to the outdoors inspired her path to environmental design, and she is continually intrigued with how that translates into her work. She is passionate about implementing ecological design strategies, and is fascinated with biophilic design and how it presents a framework for connecting humans with the built environment.
When Kate isn’t travelling the world, she enjoys all that Oregon has to offer—from the coast to the mountains. She’s a snowboarder, an urban hiker and yes, a dog lover. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado.
