Seasoned project manager and designer Ian Holzworth leads many of the firm’s technically-challenging projects. Ian believes that landscape architecture is a unique art. He says, “At its soul is the complex study of places and peoples’ ever changing responses to those places,” adding that he’s “always found it profoundly fulfilling to have the ability to influence the way people interact with their environment.” Born in the coastal town of Neskowin, Oregon, Ian grew up exploring Oregon’s awe-inspiring environment of waves, beaches and dense forests. Ian believes in simple, elegant designs and loves getting into the nuts and bolts of a project. Ian’s portfolio reflects the firm’s practice of bringing design excellence to unique and sensitive landscapes like Oregon’s High Desert country and the Columbia River Gorge.
