Brian Bishop

Principal, Landscape Architect

Originally from the South shore of Lake Michigan, Brian has called the Pacific Northwest his home since 2005. He has a keen interest in the overlapping threads of context, history, and function that inform each project and how they can be leveraged to create elegant solutions to complex problems. His curiosity for how people experience space and community has inspired passion for active collaboration with communities as well as allied designers, engineers, artists, and scientists.

Brian’s design leadership for more than two decades has focused on engaging solutions for complex public, institutional, and public-facing private clients in both urban and rural settings including parks and open space, higher education, cultural institutions, post-industrial waterfronts, mixed-use development, housing, and public realm urban design & streetscapes. He is adept at navigating complex entitlement processes and working directly with clients, design review bodies, and diverse agencies to bring ambitious visions to realization. Brian is himself a former member and chairperson of the Seattle Design Review Board.
