Walker Macy is seeking an enthusiastic project manager and landscape architect for our Seattle, WA office. In this role, you will work directly with clients, participate in public outreach, assist in the design, management and technical development of our projects, and coordinate with architects and engineers.
Walker Macy is a nationally recognized design firm that leads landscape architecture, urban design and planning projects throughout the Western United States. While our focus is on public projects – including parks, waterfronts, and campuses – we have a broad range of work that includes site design for civic and cultural buildings, interpretive centers, and mixed use development. We have a collaborative and team-oriented professional culture with a commitment to contextual design approaches, innovation, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
This position requires a professional degree in landscape architecture (BLA or MLA), well-rounded design and technical abilities and excellent “people” skills. Candidates should have experience in design development and graphic representation, experience producing construction documents for medium or large-scale projects, and experience coordinating with other design and engineering consultants. Our ideal candidates will be self-motivated and flexible, with strong communication skills, willingness to take initiative and an interest in working as part of a team. Professional experience working in AutoCAD or Revit, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and SketchUp or Rhino is required. Knowledge of LandFx and an interest in planting design is also beneficial.
