Walker Macy planned and designed the education center's site. The center allows the public to engage with nature, outdoor classrooms and hatchery observation areas. Water, as a byproduct of hatchery operations, will become a visible site amenity and be dispersed along a stone cobble spring into the restored wetland. The project is planned for LEED platinum.
