tim bono“It's musical,” says Tim Bono about Landscape Architecture. “With a cadence and a chorus, its song resurrects, restores, and breathes new life into a place.” Because landscape architects were, historically, renaissance men by trade, it was a good fit for Tim, who formulized his design philosophy studying environmental ethics at the University of Georgia. He says, “By informing mankind's relationship to the earth, a multi-faceted role emerges where the landscape architect is commissioned ecologist, architect, artist, and engineer simultaneously. It is here that I have found a lifetime of perennial learning.” Tim landed in Portland after traversing the countryside to join the ranks of Portlanders supportive of sustainability and imagination. “In my free time,” the renaissance man says, “I enjoy writing music, poetry, a game of chess, and talking to strangers on the streets.” |
