tammie dubberly“Landscape architecture attempts to achieve a symbiotic relationship between people and their surroundings by transforming social needs and ideas into functional, yet pleasing designs with the land,” says Landscape Designer Tammie Dubberly. Raised near Seattle on the banks of Lake Washington, Tammie attended the University of Oregon and switched her degree midstream from Botany to Landscape Architecture. “With nature so close to my home, and having a mother who is an avid gardener and novice landscaper, my appreciation of nature and its environment was a natural occurrence,” says Tammie. When not helping her husband with his fitness studio, she is determined to complete the restoration of their 100-year-old home, as well as continue training for the upcoming cycling season. “When there is any remaining free time, we look forward to relaxing on our front porch with our dog Whidbey, sometimes accompanied by a nice glass of wine.” |
