Trained in architecture, Michael Moyers' “aha” moment regarding landscape design came when he was an intern for a firm that was designing the new Getty Museum . “I was contemplating the architectural implications of a grid of 5000 oak trees,” he remembers. “And it's been an interesting ride ever since.” To Michael, LA is “the attention we give to the place between the wild chaos/order of nature, and the inten-tional chaos/order of our human con-structions.” The Colorado native says that he doesn't see a boundary between landscape design and architecture. “It's all about humans living with awareness, or living artfully.

When Michael isn't working or dreaming about the family cabin, he spends time with his wife chasing their son in the backyard, fly-fishing, golfing and obsessing about the Denver Broncos.
