Lara Rose

Principal, Landscape Architect

Lara leads the design of distinctive public projects that are grounded in strong ideas, creative responses to context, and finished craft. She has contributed to award-winning projects throughout the country including downtown parks, waterfronts, and gardens; urban design and campus projects; and sites that support culture and education. Lara is passionate about the challenge of bringing beauty and clarity to complex urban and natural settings. This is evident in her focus on human experience in both large-scale master plans as well as detailed site designs. Her projects balance design vision with keen insight into what makes public spaces function successfully. Lara has guided the success and growth of Walker Macy’s Seattle office since 2014, and has been actively engaged in Seattle’s design community, serving on professional and academic advisory boards over the years. She is a thoughtful leader of interdisciplinary teams and collaborates closely with clients to develop meaningful places for their communities.
