Walker Macy is seeking a talented professional with two to four years of relevant experience in an office setting to assist with the design and development of projects as part of our growing landscape architecture, urban design and planning team in Portland, Oregon.
We have a collaborative, dynamic, and team oriented professional culture with a commitment to innovative design, sustainability, and client satisfaction. While our focus is on public work – including urban parks and waterfronts – we pursue a broad range of projects, ranging from academic campuses to mixed use development. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on teams and have a proven ability to prioritize work tasks to meet deadlines. The individual will play an integral role in the development and documentation of design projects from schematic design through construction documentation and administration.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
• Enjoy project design and documentation at all stages.
• Self-motivated, and have great communication skills (both verbally and written)
• Expertise in AutoCAD, rendering digital media and proficiency in Adobe Suite programs and hand sketching
• Experience preparing both construction document sets and presentation materials is required
This position requires a professional degree in landscape architecture or architecture (BArch, MArch, BLA or MLA). Candidates must have a valid work visa, if applicable.
