Dorothy comes to Walker Macy with a strong background in design. She studied landscape architecture at Parsons School of Design and University of Virginia. Dorothy’s diverse design experience ranges from work for artists such as Mel Chin, as a designer in landscape architecture firms, and in public works as a staff member at New York Department of Parks. “The overlap of art, ecology and culture always informs design for me,” says Dorothy. “I’m always interested in the history of a place, both long and short term, and in incorporating that history into the site to make meaningful places. My greatest pleasure is in designing plazas and parks for thousands of people.”
