Andrea Kuns

Andrea Kuns sought to combine her undergraduate studies in ecology with design, seeking projects that restore degraded landscapes to create new public open space. “I love that there are not ‘cookie cutter’ solutions in landscape architecture. Every project requires its own unique design solution that is a response to site-specific ecological and social processes,” says Kuns. Andrea comes to Walker Macy via Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has taken advantage of the region’s hiking, canoeing, fishing, and snowboarding opportunities. She has also joined Portland’s legion of deeply loyal Portland Timbers fans, though she still roots for the LSU Tigers and longs for genuine Louisiana crawfish.
